Microsoft is starting a $ 8 upgrade for Windows 8

According to the announcement Microsoft made on the blog, users were able to start registering for the special upgrade program that it had previously offered: upgrade to Windows 8 for $ 15.

This is a Microsoft office 2016 product key incentive program for people who buy computers running Windows 7 from June 2 through January 31, 2013. Windows 8 upgrade subscribers will have to provide the 25-digit Windows 7 licensing code that they were granted when purchasing the operating system.

By October 26th, when Microsoft starts selling Windows 8 product key, users will receive a code via email sent by Microsoft. Through this code, users can upgrade to Windows 8 through the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant.
